Reiki/Healing Touch + Healing with Sound & Vibration 

Experience sublime states of regenerative rest, healing peace, release of difficult emotions, and rebalancing of body, mind, energy, and spirit.  Reiki/HT and Sound Healing help break up and release stagnant or trapped energy caused by stress, exhaustion, illness, or difficult emotions such as anxiety and grief. The energy field around you, as well as the rivers of energy (meridians) and centers within your being open--like rivers being cleared of debris to freely flow. Meanwhile, like a musical instrument getting re-tuned, the unique frequency that is you is brightened and strengthened. Brain waves also drop into Theta and Delta as you enter deep states of tranquility and peace. 
 

Offering 60 and 90 minute sessions which combine healing energy via Reiki/Healing Touch and the soothing, deep penetrating sound and vibration of singing bowls directly around and optionally on the body. I recommend this powerful combo, but if for any reason you prefer one or the other we can do that too.  Or, consider blending Sound Healing or Reiki/HT with an authentic age-old guided meditative experience of yogic sleep for a 90 minute or 2 hr experience (see Yogic Sleep menu tab above for its various benefits ranging from assisting PTSD recovery, to re-habituating mental and behavioral patterns, to Bliss states of Oneness with The Sacred). Other optional add-ons include learning self-care Qi massage and gentle energy medicine movement of Qigong or Yin Yoga to practice regularly at home. Distant Reiki, Yogic Sleep, and learning Qigong and Qi massage are also available.

 What to expect: For in-person sessions you'll recline on a massage table fully clothed (You'll let me know if you want optional essential oil or a soothing, warm eye mask to nourish tired, dry eyes). After initial assessment of your energy field, and an optional invocation and opening blessing*, I place safe, gentle touch on head, feet, limbs, belly and mid torso, upper chest, and near throat for Reiki/HT. Or I can keep hands above your body (your choice).

The energy treatment from both Reiki/HT and Sound healing helps break up and release stagnant or trapped energy caused by exhaustion, illness, or difficult emotions such as stress, anxiety and grief. Then we rebalance and retune your energy field within and around you.

Sound Healing re-tunes and harmonizes your energy field via bowls attuned to different healing notes/frequencies gently played around the body. Also a bowl is played on the body while being moved along energy pathways and points. Session ends with optional consecrated healing oil/anointing of the brow combined with Christed energy and prayer for healing and blessing given in my role as priest--OR receive an inter-spiritual healing prayer and blessing.*

These sessions are beautiful as one-time or ongoing tune-ups for rebalancing of energy pathways and centers of the body for mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. Or to assist in recovery. Note: These are not a one-time quick fix for life difficulties. It takes time to open oneself to wholeness in whatever form that is to take (This includes in preparation for a peaceful death, or other life transition. The word "healing" means being whole--not cure).  Please also note how all my energy-based offerings compliment--not replace--recommendations by your mental and/or physical healthcare provider.

Location for in-person sessions: Calm with Catherine LLC Healing Arts space at the First Street Community Building in Mt. Vernon, Iowa.  221 First St. E, Mt. Vernon 52314.  This sweet space is nestled just a few steps beyond the top floor (really) above the downtown facing stairwell.

*NOTE: Knowing how religion has been misused and abused, as a seasoned Reiki Master teacher/practitioner utilizing universal life force energy Spirit AND as a certified Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry practitioner who happens to also be an Episcopal priest (as well as both inter-spiritual and ecumenical Chaplain Emerita of Cornell College) I give folks options on how they want me to approach this treatment. Reiki is an inter-spiritual modality working with universal life force energy-Spirit. Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry approaches this same life force energy-Spirit yet as it has flowed out of the healing ministry of Divine Love from Creator as offered through Jesus' healing ministry then utilized through the centuries including by great mystic healers like Hildegard of Bingen who embraced The Sacred shining in and through all creation and beings. Additionally, my doctorate in spirituality which utilized heart focused, energy-based approaches to meditation/prayer included secular scientific underpinnings.
